WHERE I CAME FROM:
I am a 'boomer' born in Garden City, Michigan and at the very early age of ten gave my life to Jesus Christ. Upon graduation from High School I went off to Bible College and studied for ministry. After I completed my bible training I ministered as a Youth Pastor for 10 years. In 1988 I accepted the call to pastor a country church in Wabash, Indiana until 2005. At that time I assumed the pastorate of a suburban church in St. Charles, Missouri from which I retired on August 4, 2024.
WHERE I AM:
Occupational ministry was my calling for nearly a half century and awarded me with several delightful and enriching life experiences,. I must admit that it is a little sad and intimidating to come to the end of this leg of the journey; yet I am excited as I anticipate spending more time with my lovely wife, Paula, wonderful adult children and a tribe of eleven grandchildren (who make me feel very young and very tired at the same time .)
WHERE I HOPE TO GO:
As I have come to the end of a fulfilling pastoral ministry I have a deep desire to continue serving the Lord in a new way. As a hopeless bibliophile (i.e. book lover) I have spent many hours studying the lives of great men and women of God, many of whom lived and labored during the Victorian era of church history. It is my hope that through a weekly devotional blog and the future publication of a book set in Victorian England, I can introduce others to the immense contributions these fully dedicated and consecrated men and women have made to our Faith Heritage.
WON’T YOU JOIN ME:
I would love to have you join me each week and hopefully I can introduce you to some amazing personalities or events in our illustrious faith family history that will encourage you in your daily pilgrimage through this life.
